Recently I have replaced the old hdd with an ssd. The old hdd had windows 8.1 x64 preinstalled, it is possible to reuse the windows license on the new ssd? If yes, how can i do it?
Thank you!

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that you wanted to know if you can reuse the windows license on the new SSD.
You cannot reuse the windows license on the new SSD. You need to reinstall the operating system from the recovery CD.
Hence, you may use the retail version of the Recovery CD or call HP Phone Support at the link: www.hp.com/contacthp to order one if available.
You have a good day ahead.
