ZBook 15 G2
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have a ZBook 15 G2 with Win 7 64-bit.

It boots OK but will not let me run any EXE files. As such it is rather hard to troubleshoot. Furthermore I cannot get the computer into safe mode.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might deal with this?

Many thanks,

harry_t

Without being able to run .exes and with the data on it encrypted I am struggling to figure out how to scan it. Even if you boot the system from a virus scan disk of some sort the encryption is going to prevent the scan.

Sounds like a virus

Thanks for your reply, Huffer. It had crossed my mind that it could be a virus.

I would like to be able to take the hard disk out and scan it on another machine but the disk is encrypted - is there anywhere around this?

HP Recommended

You would need to decrypt it first which you probably are unable to do.

OK - so really no solution other than to reformat?
