HP Pavilion dv6-3110se
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi i have a HP Pavilion dv6-3110se.

so its old. i think its 10 years old.

so can it run windows 10 properly?

please help me answering.

The problem you will have is with the switchable Intel + ATI video. It will be very hard to get a driver which will allow actual switching to the dedicated video card and there is a chance it will not be visible to Device Manager at all. 

 

You are best off with Windows 7 but with some effort there are workarounds that will allow Windows 10 to run on that hardware.

Hi,

In my experience I have found few computers where windows 10 did not work properly, even older computers than your own. Windows 10 will install most of the drivers automatically and any missing ones you will have to find online. 

You could try installing windows 10 on a partition right now and see if it works before changing your PC completely. You can download the media creation tool from windows and create a bootable USB drive with windows 10 on it.

When prompted for product key just click on do not have one and continue installation. This way you can see if everything works before actually buying a licence.
