Hi,
I'm also a HP Mini user, and I am also getting the same message- ENTER CURRENT PASSWORD
My lappy's s/n is [removed], Model No. 1104vu, p/n. VZ489PA#ACJ.
PLEASE HELP ME OUT FOR THIS

Hi,
In that case, check the following.
1. The halt code ( generated after 3 incorrect entries ) that you've posted is correct.
2. You entering the code on a QWERTY keyboard.
3. Shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. Plug in the AC Adapter ( leave the battery out for the moment ), start the notebook and try entering the code again.
4. Try entering the code via an external usb QWERTY keyboard.

Hi,
In that case, my only suggestion would be to double check your entering the code correctly - e9lovuovse - ie apart from the number 9, all the other entries are lower case letters.
