HP g7-2235dx
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Was hoping to get some opinions of other "g7" owners.  I'm having this Clacking noise upon Startup and shutdown, it seems harmless enough, and somewhat normal, but I've always been under the assumtion that a sound like this is probably an HDD noise.  Is this something that MAY be a trait of the g7 in some way or a failing HDD?

I've checked the HDD with CrystalDisk Info and all passes, not that this would indicate a Mechanical issue with the Armature.  I also notice that startuup is taking a little longer than I would like.  Any feedback from other g7 users would be nice.  For a while, it was also not shutting down quickly enough IMO, but that has seemed to subsided.

Thanks, pcpunk
