Product: hp 655 notbook
i made a mistake by cleaning the drive where the windows operating system was installed using a command prompt so now when i switch on the computer its written ....
"Boot device not found"
"Please install an operating system on your hard disk"
Hard disk 3F0
when i performed the Hard Drive test , it said PASSED
please help ....

If the Recovery Manager is still there aka Recovery Partition then you can reinstall everything back to factory by tapping F11 right after pressing the start button.
If the whole drive was erased, then it will require either purchasing the install Recovery media from HP or Computer Surgeons http://www.computersurgeons.com/
Or downloading Windows from Microsoft and reinstalling.
