Hi there. I have problem with a boot/bios password on my uncle laptop (hp15-ay013na). He just recovered from a stroke and he can't remember the password. Error code [i 93112655].

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately the hashing routine for any codes that start with a 'i' have changed, so at the moment your options are down to Contacting HP support.

You can still remove a power on password by removing the rtc cell, then holding down the power button for 60 seconds before re-inserting the rtc - the procedure for removing the rtc can be found on Page 63 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.

Regards,
