Hello,

Welcome to the HP Support forum!

I am sorry for the issues you experience.

What happens is that the computer tries to boot from the primary boot device (e.g. your HDD/SSD) it finds nothing or no bootable device and therefore, the error.

This may be caused by 3 things:

- booting from incorrect device  OR incorrect UEFI/BIOS boot settings

- Windows operating system issue (or no operating system at all)

- HDD/SSD hardware problem

HP has an official article about this issues >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01443463

Let's first test your hardware for issues.

Please, turn off your computer. Start it again by using the power-on button and

as soon as you do it, keep hitting the Esc button (like tap-tap-tap) - you will enter HP startup menu similar to this one:

Choose/Press F2 and follow the on-screen instructions to perform System test >>> QUICK test. More information can be found here

It should check these components:

    Battery check
    Processor check
    System board check
    Hard drive SMART check
    Hard drive short DST check
    Memory quick check

Let me know the results of the test.

You can try to enter the BIOS and ensure your settings are set to default ones

Information > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00034791

Ensure you boot from the primary HDD/SSD

Start your computer and immediately keep pressing the Esc button (like tap-tap-tap) - you will enter HP startup menu. Choose F9 and choose the HDD/SSD. Press ENTER

If you did try all of the above [if hardware tests pass, if BIOS is set to default and if you boot from HDD], then it is operating system issue related to Windows.

HP Pavilion x360 usually comes with Windows preinstalled and there is a recovery partition on the HDD/SSD.

It can be used to restore your Win OS and software to factory default settings so that you easily and fast fix OS issues caused by faulty drivers, viruses/malware/ OS corruption/etc.  Here is how it works:

1. Please, shutdown the computer using the power button

2. Power it on.

2.1 As soon as you press the power-on button, keep hitting the Esc button (like tap-tap-tap).

This should open a HP Startup Menu

3. Press F11 for System Recovery

4. Follow the on-screen instructions.  Here is video example:

Based on the description and on the tests, it seems like a hardware problem, I'm afraid.

It doesn't detect a hard disk drive. Therefore, the error message that no booable device found - it cannot boot from HDD to load OS/Windows. It doesn't detect a drive due to missing/corrupted HDD or the connector is not working (most probably failed HDD).

Your options:

1) If your computer is still under active warranty, please contact HP Support and inform them. They will work with you about the way to replace the faulty component and to have the computer serviced.  Contact HP via phone/chat/web case:

2) If your computer is with warranty period expired, you will need to replace the faulty HDD - buy it on your own.

How to replace the faulty HDD with new HDD or new SSD: it is not an easy task. You can check the Maintanance and Service guie >> http://www.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04581124.pdf

It's recommended that you bring the computer (or ship it) to HP Authorized Service Center where the technicians will do this for you. If you are not sure where such a center is located near you, check these URLs or contact HP for assistance in finding the nearest one for you:

3) Last part - once you replace the faulty component - you will need to reinstall back your operating system - Windows or another. So,

You need to use HP recovery media - DVDs or USB pen drive you have previously created   or   recovery media purchased from HP. Some general info >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00006110

Info EU/EMEA >> http://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/bph07143

Info US/CA/AMS >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07143

Info Asia/APAC >>  http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/bph07143

If there is no recovery media at HP, you can try to contact

http://www.best2serve.com/page/rcd_landing   OR   http://www.computersurgeons.com/

to see if they can offer you such a recovery media

Please, let me know how it goes and do post back if you need assistance. Looking forward to your feeback/reply.
