No one can fully answer your question without knowing the full model number or product number of your notebook.

 

How to Find Your HP Laptop Model Number (Video) | HP® Tech Takes

 

If your notebook came with Windows from HP, the product key is encrypted in your notebook's BIOS.

 

You don't need the product key to reinstall Windows.

 

If the notebook came with FreeDOS from HP, then you will have to provide your own Windows product key.
