Hi,

Did you buy an antitheft package ? If yes you can ask vendor to block your machine. Due to privacy, please contact HP directly, they may be able to help.

Let me tell you my story. In 2015, I lost my phone somewhere between Mexico and the US (on a cruise ship). I could block my phone using IMEI number but could not block people to use others and one thing I could not block: the microSD card. That gave me a lot of headaches and out pocket money.

Hope police can trace down machine for you.

Regards.
