Hi @UNCLERICH1960,

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for the First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.

I understand that your computer will shut down after about 30 min. Don't worry as I have a few steps which should help you in resolving the issue,

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details.

Have you made any software or hardware changes on the PC?

Was there any update/reset interrupted, recently?

Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting this on HP Forums?

In the meantime, let's try these steps here:

Perform a Hard reset on the Notebook.

Now restart the computer and tap on F10 during restart, once you are in the Bios screen please stay on this screen and check if the system shuts down after 30 mins. If the PC shuts down after 30 mins this clearly indicates a hardware failure. If the PC doesn't shut down then it's a software issue.

Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you.
