hi evryone, i had a little problem with my notebook and i want to know what happend.
i was watching a movie when my laptop just tuned off(abruptly). all this with the ac plugged in and charging (i assume).
when it went off i thought maybe i didnt plug it in so the battery must have been drained, so i went on to try to charge it so i could power it on but nothing, there was no sign from the led light showing it was charging, and when i pushed the power button the notebook wouldnt turn on. i assumed my charger was faulty until i read from this forum about pushing the power button down for 30 secs i went on to try and the screen flashed as tho there was power moving into the notebook but nothing happened( at this point the ac adapter was unplugged) , i went on again and held it for 30 secs( or so) and my laptop turned on and is charging perfectly.
so my question is WHAT HAPPENED??? could it happen again? what should i do?

Hi @paingainz

I reviewed your post and I understand that the laptop shut down abruptly and was not turning on and you want to know what might have caused it.
Don’t worry, I’d love to assist you in this regard.
I would like to inform you that there are many possibilities why the laptop might shut down randomly and we can determine the exact cause based on the symptoms.
In your case, as you have mentioned that after performing a hard reset the computer is booting now normally. It seems to an issue with the static electricity as it causes the computer to shut down or restart.
Here are few common reasons:
- Wrong charger voltage
- Display driver crash
- Dirty fan/overheating
- Hardware failure
- Computer virus
I recommend you to continue using the laptop and if the issue reoccurs please feel free to write back to me and I will do my best to assist you.
Hope that answers your question and you have a good day ahead.
