Presario CQ60 NW156UA#ABA

Helping ouyt a friend !!!  A factory reset from the mapped D drive was performed on the above laptop and ended up after seconds with a bootmgr missing message. I have looked at the disc and it appears that all discs are empty now and have problems. There are no recovery discs or restore discs. She inherited this PC from her US boyfriend and cannot  remember whether this was a vist home or pro addition. The label underneath where i can thank fully see the product key codes is faded and I cannot see if which version of the Vista OS i need to get  or whether it is 32 or 64 bit.

I need any knowledge you have or best guess on whether the CQ60 NW156UA did come shipped with Vista home or Pro and where i can get a restore disc/usb from. HP do not seem to do any recovery packs for this here or in the US

Hello @DJSadleruk,

As per your unit specs, it was shipped with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit)

Specs : https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01754909

HP no longer provides Recovery Media for your model, a couple of other sites you can check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

Hope this helps, for any further queries reply to the post and feel free to join us again !!
