I run linux on my laptop

dmidecode says

  Version: 68SOU Ver. F.40
  Release Date: 03/13/2013

 

When I go to HP site, for this laptop 2560p, the latest BIOS is

F.20 Rev.
24 Oct 2011

 

since this is 68SOU model, the latest BIOS elsewhere (http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=ob_146857_1) says the BIOS is F.60 !!!

 

1) Which BIOS am I supposed to use ?

 

The one running in my system is F.40 which is newer than the one in the HP site.

I am having some issues with UEFI boot (the boot works but the screen is blank during boot).

Which BIOS am I supposed to use ?

 

2) Also users with knowledge on this laptop, could you tell me please if this laptop supports BIOS fallback in case of a BIOS update failure ?
