How to remove the nVidia graphics driver from the Windows system

Remove nVidia graphics driver on the Windows 7 system

A Remove nVidia graphics driver on the Windows 7 system

 

 

Download Driver Sweeper.

Extract the file using 7-zip (free) and install this software.

 

Click the StartStart.png button.

Type in the search box ' unin ' and choose ' Uninstall a program '.

Double click there any entry which will be part of the Nvidia graphics driver to uninstall it.

You may find on the list:

 

  • NVIDIA Display Control Panel
  • NVIDIA Display Driver or NVIDIA Drivers (You will see only one of this two positions)
  • NVIDIA HDMI Audio
  • NVIDIA nView Desktop Manager
  • NVIDIA PhysX
  • NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D Driver

If your model has Nvidia graphics card and  Intel chipset then in the ' Programs and Features ' window you will see NVIDIA Display Driver. When you will double-click it to uninstall, you will be prompted to confirm that you really want to do it. Click ' Yes '.

If your model has Nvidia graphics card and  Nvidia chipset then in the ' Programs and Features ' window you will see NVIDIA DriversWhen you will double-click it to uninstall, choose from the list ' Remove only the following ' and select only ' NVIDIA Display Driver '. Click ' Remove '.

Restart the system.

 

On the startup press the F8 key and choose Safe mode.

 

Run Driver Sweeper.

 

Check ' NVIDIA - Display ', ' NVIDIA - PhysX ' and click the ' Analyse ' button.

When the analyze process will finish click the ' Clean ' button.

Restart the system.

B Remove nVidia graphics driver on the Windows XP system

 

 

Download Driver Sweeper.

Extract the file using 7-zip (free) and install this software.

 

Go to:

 

Control panel -> Add or Remove Programs

 

and uninstall from there all drivers for Nvidia graphic card.
