Windows 7 on Pavilion dv5 1211em

Hi,

I have installed Windows 7 64bit on my HP Pavilion dv5 1211em and I have few minor problems.

It always goes into blue screen after 'waking up' from sleep with some wording that I always not manage to read as it will restart itself after 3second.

I have few device that it couldn't identity the drivers.

there is 3 Base System Device and 1 unknown device.

The first BSD Location is PCI bus 10, device 0, function 1 (Code 28)

2nd was Location: PCI bus 10, device 0, function 3 (Code 28)

and Location: Pci bus 10, device 0, function 4 (Code 28)

and the Unknown device Location: on PCI standard ISA bridge

Also I couldn't find a software for the bluetooth function.

Can someone help me with all this problems?

Thank you.

Re: Windows 7 on Pavilion dv5 1211em

Are you sure about your product number? I could not find any support page for your notebook

BSOD waking up from sleep usually related to video driver.

I could not find the spec for your notebook, which video chip are you using? Intel, ATI/AMD or Nvidia?

3 base system device usually Card reader driver

1 unknown device usually HP quick Launch Button driver

and for bluetooth, use this driver

Pavilion DV2922TX, XP-SP3 32bit, Intel T5750 2.0Ghz, Nvidia Geforce 8400M GS with 128MB, 4GB 667 DDR2, 250GB HDD

Re: Windows 7 on Pavilion dv5 1211em

The supposed latest drivers for the model are available here on HP's site, if you want to check against them to make sure you have them, or if they could do with being updated.

If the PC is dumping anything out when it blue screens, it should go to C:\WINDOWS\MINIDUMP directory. You can use something like Blue Screen View to read these dumps and it might give an idea as to what driver et al is causing a conflict.

Yes, all of your drivers listed in above mention link.

Are you using that ATI driver?
