I have a DV2845SE that originally came with Win Vista I upgraded to Win 7 64bit and found after much serching that the alps software is incompatable I can use the generic pS2 mousware but I lose allot of the functionality of the touchpad. Is there a fix for this?

Give this driver from the upgrading dv2000 series notebooks to Windows 7 guide provided by HP Experts Daniel_Potyrala & CherylG a try.

Yes I tried but not luck. It does reduce it somewhat but you can set your finger in one place and the pointer just vibrates so bad that you have a real problem selecting anything
