I constantly get this error at start up:
Boot Device Not Found
Please install an operating system
Hard Disk (3F0)
F2 System Diagnostcs
for more information, please visit: www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startup
That is the entire message given at start up, now i have ran every hard disk test, memory test, diagnostic test, and nothing wrong has been found. and still this error keeps coming back. i have also reinstaled windows 3 times now with the same error every time.
I have also spent three hours and $135 with tech support on the phone, and they cant figure it out.
what do i do??????

Which notebook are you using, post your product number.
Have you tried using other working harddisk?
It may related to hardware issue, bad harddisk, or simply a loose connection of the harddisk.

Try to open the hard drive cover, remove the hard drive from hard drive bay, remove the adapter.
Reverse above procedure to reassemble and install the hard drive back.

Go to "HP Drivers and Support" website, enter your laptop name. Then click on "Software&Drivers Downloads", choose your operating system and select BIOS. Download it and install it. You should check your current BIOS version first and flash(update) the BIOS if a new version has been released..
