I just want to ask if the recovery manager on the all program will be deleted if i already created a receovery disc?
I havent created yet a recovery disc but i dont see any recovery manager under all programs and it wont also load the recovery manager  when i press F11 when restarting the nb.

Re: Creating recovery disk.

The recovery partition or manager software may have been corrupt. Do you see anything that says recovery under programs? Maybe in an HP named folder? If not you may need to contact HP Support and order a set of recovery discs.

Re: Creating recovery disk.

The partition may have been gone long before the new mb. I would contact HP Support to order a new set. If the unit is under warranty, the discs may be free.

Re: Creating recovery disk.

I have just gotten off chat my system is Vista and under warranty and no matter how many times I asked no FREE disks were offered. This is AWFUL non support. I don't believe this is truly what HP wants. I am advisor to companies with systems numbering up to the hundreds and HP non support is rapidly leading me away from HP in my advice.

Re: Creating recovery disk.

Hi, I have had almost exactly the same experience with HP.  Trying to assist a colleauge who cannot afford to purchase the disks (single parent family) PC out of warranty - system down - recovery does not operate - no recovery disks - HP divert offsite to purchase disks at £34.  To sort out the problem I have obtained a copy of Vista Basic and used the original key. It wasb't support I wanted just the original software - as the client has already paid for it why can't it be dowloaded?  John
