This is for all you people who have downgraded to XP and lost Fingerprint Reading functionallity ...

This is the Fingerprint Reader Driver .. install this FIRST!
(different Models may have different Drivers, SHOULD work with all though) ...

This is the software for XP that will allow you to USE your fingerprint reader ...

Bioscrypt VeriSoft Access Manager

If it does not work for you,
Post Back with you Model/Product Numbers and I will see if I can get you one that works ...

Many users asking me about it, I cannot suggest them anything accept a wild guess since I dont have notebook with fingerprint.

Which models has been confirmed to be working?

The only one I confirmed was my own, the '  DV2714CA '  I have tested it about 10 minutes before I made that post, which was the main reason way I made it .. lol

and I am not sure if it will work with others, but I don't see why not, but now i'm just waiting for others to reply with if it works or not and their notebook models/product numbers.. 

... AGAIN TO ANYONE WHO TRIES THE STEPS POSTED ABOVE, PLEASE REPLY WITH WORKING OR NOT WITH YOUR MODEL/PRODUCT NUMBERS, 

I will reply with steps and drivers at that point to try and get it working!

These drivers say that they are for vista BUT SHOULD work in XP...

After one of these are installed go ahead install the Bioscrypt VeriSoft Access Manager

Vista Authentec drivers and Bioscript work in most all of the Pavilion dv2000/dv6000/dv9000. I have posted them for many XP downgrades on these series.

The new dv4/dv5/dv7 series uses Validity Fingerprint Device_not sure,but I believe the Vista Validitydriver works in XP, but not the software that accompanies it..maybe Bioscipt might but need someone to try it.

HAVE  PAVILLION  DV7-Z 1000 CTO ENTERTAINMENT NOTEBOOK  HERE ,,,,  TRIED  INSTALLING  AS  SUGGESTED  THE  SOFTWARE WORKS  OKAY  THE  VERISOFT.....  BUT  THE  FINGER  PRINT  READER  STILL  NOT  RECONIZE  IT  STAYS  GREYED  OUT  IN  THE  ICON  ,,,  AS  NOT  AVAILABLE .... IT  WAS  WORTH  THE  TRY  THANKS  ANYWAY  ....  DIDNT  MESS  NOTHING  UPP  THOUGH FOR  OTHERS  WHO  WANNA  TRY  IT  ATLEAST  JUST  MAKE  A  RESTORE  POINT  BEFORE  INSTALLING  THE  SOFTWARE  AND  FINGERPRINT  DRIVER  JUST  INCASE  IT  DOES  MESS  WITH  THINGS ,,,,

I  TRIED INSTALLING THE  ORIGINAL  DRIVERS  FROM  THE  VISTA  INSTALL  FIRST ,,,,,  DOESNT  WORK  ,,,  THEN  I  TRIED  THE  ABOVE  IDEA  HERE  AND  WITH  BOTH  FINGERPRINT  DRIVERS  ,,,  STILL  NO  LUCK  ???   WAS  VERY  SUCESSFUL  WITH  THE  DOWNGRADING  FROM  VISTA  TO  XP  PRO  THOUGH ...  STILL  WORKING  ON  THE  FINGERPRINT  DEAL  ,,,
