Hi Everyone,
I recently brought a HP ProBook 4730 which came with Windows 7 Professional preinstalled in it. Everything works great, no issue as of today. But i was looking a way i can reinstall everything (format the laptop, reinstall OS, drivers, etc.). I can see a drive titled "HP_Recovery" but how do i use that? Any Ideas? I saw in couple of forums there's HP Recovery Manager but i can't seem to find it.
It's probably a small thing that i am missing/overlooking.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Hi:
Normally you tap the F11 key at the HP welcome screen to launch the recovery process.
You might be able to find the actual HP recovery manager in your programs menu under HP.
As a permanent solution to having a backup, I recommend you contact HP and order a set of recovery DVD's for your notebook.
If you live in the USA or Canada, just call this number 1-800-334-5144.
Inform the customer services rep that you need to order a set of quick restore disks for your notebook. You will need to provide the model number and serial number.
You may get the disks free of charge since your notebook is presumably under warranty. Worst case scenario is you will be charged $10.
Paul
