hi
i have HP G62-453TU Ci5 laptop with win7 pro 32 bit installed and ram is 2gb with 1033MHz of ram installed
i want to ask weather i can install 4gb 1333MHz of ram on my Laptop with previous 2gb means total 6Gb or not and also how much of Ram my Laptop supports
with 32bit OS

Hi,
Your notebook will support a maximum of 8Gb DDR3 1066Mhz Ram. Your best option if you are using a 32bit OS is to use 2 x 2Gb DDR3 1066Mhz as this will work in Dual Channel mode ( a 32bit OS will only recognise just under 4Gb of Ram ). If you use 1333Mhz Ram it will only work at 1066MHz which is the maximum speed supported by your notebook.

means that i can install 4gb 1333MHz of ram as single module but it will work at the speed of 1066MHz
and tell me what if i upgrade my OS to 64 bit

Hi,
If you install a 64bit version of Windows, you can use 2 x 4Gb DDR3 modules for a maximum of 8Gb of Ram which will run in dual channel - for best compatibility, use 1066MHz modules.
