Jumping cursor

I have a dv6 6c35dx and the cursor keeps jumping regardless of what program I am in. Was unable to resolve issue with HP support and in Windows forum. ALready it as jumped to the first line without me touching the touchpad.   I have already exchanged a similar model for this current model in the space of 35 days. I can't even type this note without it jumping to previous lines. Very frustrating as I keep typing over previous words due to the jumping cursor.

Please help. I need to be able to write papers.

Please use plain text.

Re: Jumping cursor

Hello Smithie23:
Welcome to the malware world. This is causing your issue. Open up recovery manager and select microsoft restore. This will back restore your computer. Choose a date before this happen. After restore is completed down load Microsoft Essential http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials This is not anti virus software as it says. It works with your installed anti virus. It works real good keeping malware and some viruses from attacking your computer. It might be easer for to use a external mouse along with your keyboard seeing touch pad is highly sensitive. You can also download Wot toolbar witch tells you what websites are safe and witch ones are not safe. To a void futher occurrences from happening again. http://www.mywot.com/  Have fun enjoying your new computer.
