LoadLibrary failed with error 1114: A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed. (?)

I'm receiving the message: "LoadLibrary failed with error 1114: A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed."  - - What needs to be done?  I'm using Windows 7, 64bit, SP1 on a HPPavilion Gseries computer...  Thanks for replies!

Re: LoadLibrary failed with error 1114: A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.

Original poster replies: It has something to do with BOINC (a shared-computing program) which I run almost continuously and have taken no action...  Consider it a non-problem.

Re: LoadLibrary failed with error 1114: A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.

I have this problem on a new Pavillion DM4 laptop - it's incredibly irritating. It does not happen on a similarly configured (Win 7) desktop I have. Any idea how to fix it - presumably the HP install is missing a DLL or putting it in the wrong directory (for BOINC)?It's not lised on the Berkely BOINC website so presumably unique to the HP install.

Thanks.
