Needs Product Key /Activation Key for Windows XP

Hi,

   I have HP 520 series laptop. I purchased it in December 2007.

At the time of purchase the default operating system was Windows Vista. But instead of taking that I purchased Windows XP license.

The problem is that due to some virus I formatted my laptop unfortunately there is no Product Key for Windows XP with me.

The product key sticker on my laptop is for windows vista. Where do I can get the Product Key/Activation Key for windows XP.

 Can I get windows recovery disk or so from HP or to whom do I need to contact.

For business model of HP, if you bought it with Vista business with downgrade right, HP should provide you two OS installer, Vista and XP.

Product key for XP and Vista for HP business model were activated in BIOS.

Which version of windows vista do you have?

I don't know the vista version. I just told the dealer to install windows XP.

But I don't have any CD /Recovery Disk with me for windows XP.

Can I get the product key or activation key from HP or I need to contact Microsoft.

Take a look the vista stiker in the bottom of your notebook.

If it is Vista Business, then you can order a XP and Vista installer from HP, if not, your XP is not a legal version.

Yes. I do have vista stiker on bottom. On which the product key and and some microsoft logo is there.

How can I order the XP installer from HP ?

The version of vista is written in that stiker. Take a look again.

I have an HP Pavilion  Model # P7-1254  and I can't seem to activate Office 2910  I need the activation Key number  Where might I find that or can you activate it for me.    Thanks, Patti
