Hi i have purchased a G42 notebook 6 months back and i don't know how its HDD died and HP replaces that but doesn't provided me a recovery disk or windows disk. Now i am just having a windows product key but no windows disk to install on my notebook. How can i get one for which i have paid to HP.

Hi:
You can order a set of recovery disks by following the info at the link below.
If it came with windows 7, and you want to download a clean copy without the HP software, you can download the official Microsoft version for the operating system you have.
You will need to burn the file as an ISO file to a DVD in order to boot from the DVD and install the software.
Use the product key on the bottom of your PC to activate the software.
Remember to download the same version of windows 7 that came with your PC, or the product key won't work.
