Problem downloading drivers.

[ Edited ]

Hey everyone.
I bought an Hp pavillion Dv7 1260eo from Finland some time ago but since im not Finnish myself i installed a new windows 7 on it instead of the old Finnish vista.
So i needed to find drivers for it....I managed to download most of the drivers from

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?lc=en&dlc=et&cc=ee〈=et&softwareitem=ob-75737-1&os=4062&product=3889137&

But some downlaods just won´t start. So im missing my Quicklaunch buttons, wireless configuration and some other small stuff. As you may already understand im not too savvy with stuff like that so ill try to post some screenshots of the problem and hope that whoever sees them can make any sense.

This screencap is of the errormessage i get.
All of the drivers i did manage to download had the "install" option active. That was 2 days ago but now that option has dissapeared from all drivers.

So what could be the problem? Is it the site, my lowsy connection, ect..
And can i get any solutions for it e.g. do vvista drivers work on the windows 7 or can someone re upload them or whatever.

Thanks in advance.

Del.

Re: Problem downloading drivers.

You are having network issues - Can't open data connection.

Maybe download the drivers from a different computer or ask a friend to help, save them on a CD or usb thumbdrive, and install from that.

Re: Problem downloading drivers.

In techie terms, a "425 can't open data connection" meaning ftp couldn't open the port for transmitting data (you need ftp, because the drivers you are downloading is on a ftp server).

It could be as simple as the port is blocked with your internet security settings, firewall , or network driver, router setting, etc.

But you said you were able to download some of the drivers, which indicate maybe something else.

Re: Problem downloading OS X drivers and the Scanner Troubleshooting Utility...

After running across page after page of advice that only relates to Windows drivers I finally found a page that would download the Apple drivers. Only it refuses to do so! The scanner in my Officejet 4315 suddenly went belly-up -- the Device Manager says it cannot find a scanner and the scanner says it can't find a computer. I switched out the USB cable and I'm still getting the same error messages. And I can't download the Scanner Troubleshooting Utility since it appears to only be for Windows!

HELP!!!

Thanks in advance,

CJ

I forgot to mention that both the printer and fax are still working perfectly.

Re: Problem downloading SO X drivers and the Scanner Troubleshooting Utility...

Nothing? No suggestions from anyone?

I just read a similar post that said their scanner quit after installing a new black cartridge. That reminded me that mine quit after installing a new color cartridge. (DIdn't think there'd be any connection until reading that post.) In fact, the first OfficeMax brand replacement color cart didn't work at all and I had to exchange it for a new one (which does work). Is it possible that their cartridges have effected the scanner somehow?

Thanks,

CJ
