Problems with install server

I just downloaded the new versionof iTunes on my g50 laptop but it takes way too long to install!!!!! after about ten minutes it says that te install sever isn't responding... I don't know if this is the right place to get help but since its the weekend all of the computer places in town are closed and wont open till monday !!!! PLZ help !!!!
