Windows 7 Installation disk missing

Hi,

I recently purchased HP Pavillion laptop. i did not get the windows 7 installation disk along with the laptop. Does HP ship the OS installation Disk along with the laptop? If not, why? I called up customer care and the response from the support team was to create the recovery disk, is that correct?

Re: Windows 7 Installation disk missing

Correct, HP Recovery Disks restore the laptop back to factory shipped specs. An option some use is borrowing a Windows disk of the same version and using it along with the license key on the bottom of the laptop.
