Jonah's guide should have most of what you need:

I have HP Pavilion Dv6000 part number GA378UA#ABA that purchased from Circuit City @ july 2007. Under Device manager of Vista i have the following.
Intel Core Duo CPU T2450 @ 2.00GHz. (Processor)
Mobile Intel 945GM/GU Express Chipset Family (intergrate display)
Intel PRO/100 VE Network Connection(Intergrate network)
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
According to HP web site.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os
It has sp33411_NVIDIA nForce Chipset Driver and Network Controller and also has sp35445_AMD Processor Update for Microsoft Windows XP
Can someone please tell me if HP only provide XP drivers for ndivia hardware but not intel?
Where can i fund XP drivers for hardware that have (intel)?
What option do I have if I want to go from Vista to XP?
Thanks,

You are right. I will see what I can find for you.
Here are the Windows XP drivers for your chipset from Intel
What does system information show as you network card? (which manufacturer and model/version number)

Just talked to Hp customer service and i was told that i have Notebook model number dv6426us.
According to hp web site http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os
This is only few driver and not sure what are these drivers for?
The only software drivers download the come close to my notebook is dv6000t, but it's not exactly match my notebook(dv6426us)
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os
I just purchased a legal CD of Window XP home edition CD from newegg.com and it's here. I was hoping that i can format my notebook and install fresh window XP home. I now need proper drivers for this notebook.
Hope someone here have the answer.
Thanks,
