error message during system restore

Pavilion dv6.3120us  Windows 7-32 bit 

Cannot restore system from rescue disks (5).  Receive error code "oxeoefooe". 

"recovery manager could not restore your computer using the factory image.  Please contact HP support error code: oxeoefooe"

Recovery process seems to work normally until I get to disk 3 of 5.  Format progress at 44%.  Then process stops and I get the error code.

Enter BIOS setup by tapping/holding the F10 key immediately after powering on the laptop.Use Diagnostics to test your memory and hdd.

Thanks for the tip. 

I have done the various hard drive and memory diagnostics and everything checked fine. 

I then installed a new hard drive and new ram.  The new hd and ram produce the same results.  Restore \ reformatting stops at 44% with error message.

It could be a bad Recovery dvd since it gives the error at same place each time.Try cleaning the dvd with a soft cloth and try to start Recovery again.

Is this a set you burned or a set from HP? you might try calling to order a new set,usually less than $20, and if you are still within warranty the set will probably be free.If you are in US/CA>>1-800-474-6836

Yes,  Thanks again for the advise.  Spent about an hour with tec support and they came to the same concussion.  My recovery disc is corrupt or damaged.  I have ordered a recovery set from HP for $18 and change.
