Hi again,
Last days user with tm2 model reported me here then this guide is working for him.
Please take two photos of this side where You think that You've got fingerpint. On first show us whole side and on second show us zoom on this what You think then is fingeprint. Upload it on any server (example: mediafire) and give us link to it.

For me it looks then You haven't got fingerprint.
This photos which You posted are very blurred. Could you take the same pictures again but this time more sharper?
Click the Windows start button
, type ' Device Manager ' in the search box and hit enter.
Do You see there on the list ' Biometric Devices ' ?
If then yes then post here what You've got there and click with right button of Your mouse on it and choose properties. Then go to ' Details ' tab and paste here Hardware Ids . This way we will know what it is.
Below You've got example how to do it:

Hi
I just purchased a dv7-6c95dx. I have had it around one month. I set up my fingerprint and was using it with no problems until recently. The light where the fingerprint reader is located is no longer on. It will not swipe my finger. I've gone to device manager and it says windows did not recognize any biometric devices. I've gone to biometric settings and it says it is on. What is the problem?

I unistalled and installed per your instructions, the validity software shows under biometric devices now, but says ' unavailable'. I restarted and did everything. Still not sure why it isn't working????
