the bootmgr is missing

ok i have an hp g62 - 339wm laptop pc i go to start it and all i get is this the bootmgr is missing so whats up with that and how do i go about fixing it?

Hi

You have a couple of options as I see it please find the steps might help you to fix your issue.

1) Testing a Hard Disk using the Built in Self Test

If the Hard drive Fails then you need to repalce the part if the Hard drive passes then you could try Doing a system restore Using F11 option Or a Recovery but before doing recovery back up you data as it will be lost.

2) Recover Windows 7 Operating System Using HP Recovery

If this does not work then you might have to call HP Technical support to order the part or click on the web link given below to order the Disc.

3) Order Recovery Discs for Windows 7, Vista, or XP

If the hard drive Passes the test, follow the instructions in the link below, you may not need to use HP recovery.

Scroll back up and see the answer by ManjunathTech, your hard drive needs to be replaced and then use the HP recovery media to reinstall Windows.
