The scrolling on my touchpad has stopped working, as well as when I double touch the LED light it does nothing. I have already looked up some stuff about how to fix it, but nothing is working for me. When i open up the mouse window after typing it in the start box, there is no device settings tab to click on to change it back.
It stopped working randomly, so i have no idea what happened.
I've got a HP G62-219CA with windows 7

First, download the latest Synaptics driver installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
Next, open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the entry 'Synaptics Pointing Device Driver' and select Uninstall.
When this has completed, restart the notebook.
When windows has fully reloaded, open your Downloads folder, right click the Synaptics installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. When this has completed, restart the notebook again.
See if you can now configure the ClickPad as detailed in This Document.

When i go to re-install it a window pops up saying to run the 64-bit version of DPInst.exe
I have no idea what this is and it wasn't a problem before
