can anyone tell me is my desktop compatable for a wireless modem sr1229uk windows xp home i am about to change isp and they want to know if my computer will take wireless modem How can i find this out

There is no Wireless adapter mentioned on your Specs page HERE

The broadband modem should have an ethernet cord to plug into your PC's lan port. You can also get a modem that plugs into your PC lan and has wireless bulitin so any laptops or other wireless capable devices can also connect through it.
You could also install a wireless adapter in your PC.

PCI wireless adapter will do, and also USB wireles adapter....
