Replacing IDT Audio device on my Envy DV6


Can i uninstall the IDT High Definition audio codec (witch sucks) and install the driver Realtek High Definition audio on my Envy DV6 7229wm using Windows 8 64bits??

The IDT High Definintion audio codec is the correct driver for your system. You can try the other driver, it may or may not work, properly. For your information I am including Beats Audio Console (Windows 8),  to help you configure your audio.  I hope this has helped.
