I'm sorry if this has already been asked but I didn't find it and this is really bothering me.
I installed the latest update to windows last night and went to bed. I turned on my computer and it does as normal until it's time for my destop.
It tells me the desktop is not found. My desktop is blank and empty except a reycle bin.
So I got into safe mode and restore before the last windows up date and it works fine so far everything is here, except Google Chrome didn't work right but I reinstalled that and all my bookmarks and such are working fine.
But I'm wondering if this will happen again if I attempt to update windows and if there is anything I can do to check for that sort of thing. Did I even do the right thing by restoring?
I think the chrome issue was from me stupidly downloading something called Incredibar by MyStart it hyjacked my browsers and I noticed after I restored everything it did it again. That was my fault but it doesn't seem mailicous just annouying. I know that the Incredibar is a thorn in the side of everyone unfourtunate enough to have it.
My primary concern is being able to update windows with a 'desktop not found' error.
I run Windows 7 Home Premium on a G62 Notebook.
Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Hi,
From my observations: just reboot the machine to continue the updates and you should be back to normal.
Good luck.

Everything actually ended up turning out fine. It all went back to being the way it was. But boy was I scared! This is a bit delayed but thank you for replying!
