Hp notebook wont start.

it is a HP G72 Notebook PC, product number WQ666UA#ABA. i know it is a intel core and a windows 7.when started the notewill go to the Hp logo and then to a blank page with a blinking line in the left top corner of the screen. i can not find my back up start up disk so any advice on how to fix or where i could download the startup software. thank you

Hi
You have a couple of options as I see it please find the web link given below might help you to fix your issue. Please Run the Hard Drive test & Memory test if both off them passes then you could try rest off the option.
Testing a Hard Disk using the Built in Self Test
Recover Windows 7 Operating System Using HP Recovery
If Hard drive and Memory test passes then if unit does not load F11 then you can order the Disc from HP Technical support over the phone or click on the web link given below.
Order Recovery Discs for Windows 7, Vista, or XP
