I am having issues with my battery. I have an HP Envy #G6R79UA.
I do not know exactly when it happened or what caused it, but for some reason my battery will not charge. Currently I am at 5% battery level and it says, "plugged in not charging."
I left it alone for several hours to charge but so far nothing has changed.
I tried to turn my computer off, back on, press esc, and run a diagnostics test, but it failed. It said faliure ID 9BXS16-7A1865-MFGJMG-C08R03.
I tried using the HP Support Assistant App to run the HP Battery Check but it said the battery status was : OK.
The battery is 606 days old and I no longer have warranty.
Please let me know if you can help.

Hi Looking4Soltn,
Please follow the steps carefully..
Turn the computer off completely.
Unplug the AC charger.
Start the computer using battery only.
Run for a few minutes & test a few applications.
Turn the computer off completely.
Plug the AC charger in.
Start the computer in AC mode.
If the steps above didnt work then try the second option
Go to Device manager
Look for the word Battery and double click it
Right Click on "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery"
Turn off the computer after uninstalling it
Remove the battery then the AC charger
Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds
Put the battery back in then the charger
Your battery icon should start charging after booting to the main desktop
Cheers!

Unfortunately neither of those solutions worked.
The first one is impossible for me to try because my battery life is 5% so the moment I unplug it it dies.
As for the second option I followed each step and it did not help.
