Product: G60 243DX
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista (64-bit)
Hi,
I had a friend bring me an HP laptop recently that was not turning on or responding at all.
The only thing that happens when I plug the laptop in is that the light located right next to the power port (which has a plug icon next to it) blinks a light blue / whitish color. No other lights blink, not the lightning bolt charging light, nothing.
- I have tried it with the battery installed, and removed. Same behavior.
- I have tried the power drain (hold the power button for a minute while the batter is removed). Same behavior.
- I have tried multiple power adapters. Same behavior.
Does this likely mean something is wrong with the motherboard itself?
I can't find much information on a blinking power port light, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Adam
