-Hi guys,

I have a small problem regarding my internal HDD on my HP notebook this afternoon. Startup showed my Crystal DiskInfo digits at:
Health Status on startup: Unknown
Is this a warning that my internal HDD is somehow about to give up? No warning sound was emitted by the Crystal DiskInfo app though.
I restarted the Crystal DiskInfo. Health Status: Good.
The average Temperature is always between 35-40C. Startup temp ranges from 27-29C.
HP notebook purchased May 2014. No gaming, use is for browsing and writing and watching movies. April of this year, watching movies on my WD external.

Crystal DiskInfo 7.0.4x64
HP 500.1 GB Internal HDD
Drive Letter: C: 😧
Standard: ATA8-ACS. ATA8-ACS version 6
Transfer Mode: SATA/300
Buffer Size: 8192 KB
Rotation rate: 5400 rpm
Power on Count: 2492 count
Power on Hours: 5797 hours
Health Status Setting - Threshold of Caution (Raw Values)
[05] Reallocated Sectors Count: 1 - 01h
[C5] Current Pending Sector Count: 1 - 01h
[C6] UNcorrectable Sector Count: 1 - 01h
Health Status: Good

I checked Disk Management. Disk 0: all Healthy.

Thanks for reading my issue with my internal HDD. My external HDD, a WD My Passport 1TB was also plugged in at startup but I have at many times plugged the external HDD at off and startup. External HDD: Healthy.
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for the advice. I will test my internal hard disk using your suggestion.

Although that little scare with the Crystal Diskinfo 7.0.4 x64 Health Status showed an "Unknown Health" of my internal hard disk only once, I think I should do that diagnostics.

I will update you on the result. I did the same diagnostics last month and everything was shipshape.

Again, thanks.
