Pavilion p5p69ea
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Something went wrong during the above 1803 installation which  affected the driveguard / accelerometer.

I have tried to update the HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor driver but it says i have the latest driver installed.

I have also tried to download and re-install the HP 3D Driveguard driver again.

All i get is a message coming back that an accelerometer.exe dll is missing.

At the moment i have disabled the accelerometer from starting up to stop the messages, but this is not a good idea long term.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

3D Driveguard driver : 6.0.34.1 rev A SP76484

Mobile Data Protection Sensor driver : 7.0.1.1

With thanks !.

Steve.

Hi Steve,

What you describe is what I would expect and is correct.

This latest version of the DriveGuard software just installs the driver ( located in System devices, HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor ) and the required services - there is no longer the systray option ( this was the entry you will have seen listed in Task Manager - Start up ) and is the component that created problems with previous versions.

Hi,

Try the 3D DriveGuard version on the following link.

HI !...

I dowloaded your link but now i have lost all reference to the accelerometer in Task Manager Start Up.

I can try to dowload and reinstall the 3d driveguard driver again from Software & Drivers, unless you have any other ideas ?..

Cheers, Steve.
