Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

The forcepad (trackpad) that's built-in to my keyboard has been functioning very intermittently since I bought this device only a couple of months ago. It fails more often than it works 😞

The touch-screen is working perfectly and an external usb mouse works fine.

In my device manager it shows 'synaptics HID device' (under the 'human interface devices' group) with driver version 19.0.17.44, which windows claims is the up to date driver.

I've disabled a couple of startup items, which I didn't think were relevant: 'Discover HPtouchpoint manager' and 'Intel Wireless dock manager'.

What can I do to get this forcepad working every time I boot the machine?

Thanks
