Pavilion NMIJEV
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've had this computer just a couple of days over one year.  Up until recently, when I plugged my iPhone 6 in, it would recognize & upload all of the new photos from my phone.  It will no longer do that...it chooses the same 5 or 6 pics each time I plug it in & tried to upload that.  Can someone tell me how to resolve this issue?! I'd like to get these photos off of my phone & onto an external hard drive, as I am expecting a new phone to arrive on Saturday.  I've lost 1000's of pictures from my phone & the Cloud in recent months, so I am eager to get all of these pics onto my external hard drive.  Thank you for your help!!!

Hi! @georgialiving, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand that you are unable to send pictures from your phone to PC.

Please try the steps recommended below.

Unlock your iPhone and set your PC as a trusted device
Before transferring files to Windows 10 make sure that you unlock your iOS device using your passcode, especially if you’ve never synced it with your computer before.
Make sure that your iOS device trusts your computer before transferring your files.
Update your photo-management software and iTunes.
Update your iPhone.
Check if there’s an update available for your version of Windows using the Windows Update application.
Create a new photo to import.
Connect your iPhone to your computer.
Open My computer, find your iPhone under the Portable Devices, right-click it, and press Import Photos.
In addition, you can try transferring your photos using the iTunes application.
Check with a new USB cable.
Open Control Panel and click on Uninstall a program.
Check the list for Apple Mobile Device Support.
If Apple Mobile Device Support isn’t on the list of installed software, you need to remove iTunes, QuickTime, Apple.
Software Update, Apple Application Support, and then reinstall iTunes.

If the above steps do not work please try the steps mentioned below.

Close iTunes and disconnect any iOS devices that you have connected.
Open the Run window by pressing the Windows key + R.
In the input field enter services.msc and press OK.
Services window should open. On the list on the left find Apple Mobile Device Service, right-click it and choose Properties from the menu.
In the Properties window find Startup type and choose the Automatic from the drop-down list.
Click the Stop button bellow to stop the service.
After the service has stopped click Start to start it again.
Click OK and restart your computer.
Open iTunes and connect your iOS device.

Please let me know the outcome.

Have a beautiful day ahead! 🙂
