I have tried all examples given in previous forums, but under Windows 10, the options under "Mouse" are not the same. I want to Permanently disable the touchpad.

Again, thanks! But that window still does not open, and I do not have a ClickPad option. My G2 laptop is apparently too old and too cranky to ever work. Thanks again, but I am throwing in the towel and never buying an HP laptop again. I do hover love my HP printers.

Hi,
What is your G62 ? Can you see something similar to the following image ?
Please click Disable and Apply then OK. Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

Thank you for your suggestion for my HP Laptop Model G62, however, the "Mouse Properties" window with "clickpad" does not come up on my pc when I enter Mouse in my search box, only the same old one referring to the touchpad. There is no option to disable the touchpad.
