Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey there,

I bought this Laptop some years ago and I want to use the fingeprint-sensor now the first time. My OS is Windows 10 Pro @64Bit.

I used this page [1] for downloading the Synaptics WBF Fingerprint Driver. But if I try to to use it, there is no option for me. (Btw. I cannot use the search by my Windows-Button, I completely uninstalled cortana.)

Could someone lead me to solve this issue?

EDIT:::
I dont know why, but it works now without doing something different.

I suggest reinstalling Cortana to regain access to the Windows search.

Invoke the Device Managerto verify that the fingerprint sensor is recognized as being present by the operating system.

Enter the BIOS and check the advanced section  and ensure that the fingerpint device is enabled.

Once that is done, download and install the following fingerprint device driver software.
