Hi,
Normally, double-tapping the top left corner of the touchpad will toggle it On/Off.
If required, you can disable this feature as follows.
Open windows Control Panel and in the top right, next to View by: select 'Large Icons'. From the new layout, select the Synaptics entry.
Click on the entry 'Tapping', just to highlight it and then select the 'Setting Cog' that appears to the right.
In the following window, remove the checkmark against 'Double-tap to Enable Or Disable Touchpad' - see the image below.
Select on Close in this window, then select Apply and Ok in the previous window to save this setting.
