Hello,
I have HP Pavilion 15-p000 CTO Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR) laptop. Initially Window 8 was installed but sometime back OS was upgraded to Window 10 and the troubles started for me.
My laptop performance is noticebly bad. The configuration is I5, 16GB Memory and 1TB HDD. Sad to say, my older laptop I3 perform better.
I have decided to install Window 7 Pro on my laptop. I found many drivers on below page,
Can you please help me to understand,
1. If driver listed above page cover all the require drivers.
2. If there are multiple drivers then which one to install. For example, Driver-Audio has below two drivers,
Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver (1.20 Rev.A)
Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver (6.0.1.7171 A)
3. Installation order of drivers like first audio then chipset etc.

Yesterday I went ahead and installed Window 7. I have to made some changes to BIOS (by enable legacy boot option and disable UEFI boot option) to install it from DVD.
After installation, I restarted my laptop but I am getting only black screen and caps lock blinking two times with some time interval.
I searched for reason on Google and it seems that BIOS got corrupted. I did hard reset (remove battery/power cable and press power button for 15 seconds) but it didnt work.
Can you please help me how to get it work again?

Only suggestion I can give is to patiently and repeatedly perform the key combination method given in this:
http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02693833
You can try downloading latest BIOS and loading it in an USB as detailed in that HP document. Then try restoring BIOS to laptop from it.

Hi Visruth,
Window key + B didnt work for me but I tried to recover with USB. Once BIOS recovery started, I left the machine for some time and once came back, I was seeing only black screen with power button on. I waited for long time and turn off laptop. After that now I am not able turn on laptop. on pressing power button, power button led doesnt on.
I did hard reset and try to start laptop without battery but didnt work.
Please help.

I've heard from members here that you have to try windows keys + B combination many many times to get it right.
Try again is what I can suggest at present. To the key combination with USB plugged in.
