I just returned from a vacation to find that my laptop has no wi-fi. When I click on the wi-fi icon, no network pops up; only airplane mode.
I did not take the laptop with me on vacation. I turned everything off and made sure the computer was unplugged. When I got in, I plugged the computer in to charge up the battery. While the computer was charging, I clicked on the hp icon which is usually a blue circle with a question mark in it; this time there were two yellow exclaimation points in it. I had a message to install updates. I did this. Still no wi-fi.
I have wi-fi in the home because tablets and kindles are working. Is there something I can do to fix this ? I have never seen just airplane mode show up under the settings, with no networks.
If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it!

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
I read your post about Airplane Mode and wanted to help.
Unfortunately, this is a display change that MS did with the November Update -- you only see Airplane mode being toggled now, not the older display.
If your WiFi is indeed not working, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try: HP PCs - Troubleshooting Wireless Network and Internet
Good Luck
