HP Recommended
Pavilion 510
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A day and a half on the internet with a new computer while reading a news story a pop-up appears saying ny info is being downloaded , this device came with McAfee anti-virus , who wanted to sell me a year subscription to remove this .

The hp support also recommends a tech remove (whatever ) at quite a fee , now I'm at a point where I feel like McAfee and hp are running a scam as hp says there is no warranty on software yet they will not walk me through a fix without a fee , for my part I feel they are both selling defective products if McAee's protection does not help and hp's product is that vulnerable to virus's and mal-ware .

Does anyone have a solution where I don't have to spend a fifth or a half of what the computer cost me to remove this , or answer me this would it be ok as is , if I do nothing ?
